The founders of Rainbox are all avid outdoorsmen who grew up rock climbing, mountain biking, fly fishing & backpacking. Many outdoor companies hit the mark on quality manufacturing, but we always felt like they lacked design-wise. Our goal has always been to make clothing that not only looks cool, but that we can wear doing the activities we love.

We were fortunate to have our designs and custom fits noticed by some of the biggest bands in the industry. The bands appreciated our love of music & could feel that love in our designs for their merch. To name a few, we have designed merch for My Morning Jacket, Goose, Trey Anastasio, STS9 & Umphrey's McGee to name a few.

Call us old souls, but it seems that modern fashion design always seems rushed and cheap. Before we make any graphics, we always custom build the fit down to the smallest detail. You won't find our builds on any other brand in the market. They are built to last and designed with a timeless style that has spanned generations.

What Rainbox Means to Us.
We felt that a play on the song Box of Rain by the Grateful Dead would be a perfect nod to the ethos of our company. The phrase Box of Rain ostensibly refers to the Earth, but the Dead also populated the lyrics with multiple references to natural wonders and the enchanting qualities of the environment.
